UKA Tarsadia University B.Des Admission Process 2025

The admission process for the B.Des program at the university includes the following steps:

1. Fill out the online admission form at UTU.
2. Submit the following documents:

• a copy of the 10+2 or qualifying examination marksheet
•  a copy of the School Leaving Certificate
•  a copy of the 10th standard marksheet
•  2 passport-size photographs

3. Admit Card will be received.
4. Appear for the Entrance Exam as prescribed by the Faculty of Design, Planning & Architecture (FDPA), organized by the UKA Tarsadia University. 
5. The candidate needs to achieve 40% marks in the aptitude exam to qualify.
6. Meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed below in the blog.
7. Having met the above conditions, the candidate is offered admission into the program at the university.
8. The candidate then needs to verify his documents and pay the admission fee.

The entrance test for the B.Des program at the university consists of two main components:

1. General Aptitude Test:

The General Aptitude Test consists of objective type questions with one mark for every correct answer.

2. Creative Aptitude Test: 

The test focuses on judging intuition skill, power of observation, innovation in development of a concept and design ability of the candidate. An important aspect of the test is the creative and innovative use of colour and illustration skills.

General Aptitude Test

1) Quantitative Ability: It consists of questions on addition, multiplication, division, fractions, percentage, rate of interest, work and task, ratio and proportion, and distance.

2) Communication Ability: It is aimed at testing the language ability of the candidates. It includes questions on synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, singular, plural, one word substitutes, idioms and phrases and correct spellings.

3) English Comprehension: It requires understanding and answering questions regarding a specific passage.

4) Analytical Ability: It is designed to test the candidate’s inference and logic ability from given information.

5) General Knowledge and Current Affairs based on recent events and general knowledge.

6) Case Study: This test uses a situation to evaluate your style of response to discern your managerial ability

Weightage

• Creative Aptitude Test (CAT) has 60 % of total weightage.

• General Aptitude Test (GAT) has 40 % of total weightage.

The selection process for the B.Des program at the university includes the following steps:

1. Fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.
2. Appear for the Entrance Exam conducted by the university.
3. Achieve at least 40% marks in the aptitude test in order to qualify.
4. Merit list will then be released.
5. The selected candidates then need to verify their documents and pay the admission fee.
