Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for Government Fashion Designing Courses and Fee Payment

The top government fashion designing courses in India take admissions through entrance tests for both UG and PG courses. Most popular exams include NID-DAT, NIFT, and UCEED. NID-DAT

Step – 1 Register

• Register/ Sign-Up on the official website.
• Login with your credentials on the page.

Step – 2 Application Form 

• Fill out the application form 
• When you fill all the fields, click ‘Save and Proceed’ to move onto the next section.

Step – 3 Upload Documents

• Upload a scanned copy of all the documents asked.
• Click ‘Save and Proceed’ to go to the next section.

Step – 4 Pay Application Fees

• Fees can be paid online or in person.
• Online payment can be made through credit/ debit card. 

NIFTEE (National Institute of Fashion Technoloy Entrance Test)

Step – 1 Online Registration

• Register on the official website.
• Fill out personal, academic and upload the required documents
• Pay the application fees.

Step – 2 NIFT Entrance Exam

•  The exam occurs in two phases – Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT)
• Those who qualify move on to the next round.

Step – 3 Personal Interview

• A situation test is conducted for all UG courses.

UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination For Design)

Step – 1 Register

• Register/ Sign-Up on the official website.
• Login with your credentials on the page.

Step – 2 Application Form 

• Fill out the application form after registration.
• When you fill all the fields, click ‘Save and Proceed’ to move onto the next section.

Step – 3 Upload Documents

• Upload a scanned copy of all the documents asked.
• Click ‘Save and Proceed’ to go to the next section.

Step – 4 Select Test Center 

• Choose 3 test centers from the given list.
• 1st preference would be given priority. 

Step – 5 Pay Application Fees

• Fees can be paid online through credit or debit card..

• Name and Date of Birth of the candidate

• Qualifying Degree Certificate or last semester marks sheet from a recognised board or university.
• Your Mailing Address as well as Permanent Address with PIN code
• Four cities for centres of your choice where you are comfortable giving your exam.
• Category Certificate, if applicable.
• Undertaking / Result Awaited Certificate, if applicable.
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate, if applicable.
• SC, ST, OBC (NCL) Certificate, if applicable.
• Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate & UDID, if applicable.
• E-mail address and Mobile Number of the candidate.
• Candidate’s Photograph.
• Candidate’s Signature in running hand.
