NIFT Entrance Exam Overview 2025: The National Testing Agency conducts the NIFT exam every year for admission of aspirants into various courses like B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, B.Des, M.Des and M.F.M offered by the institute. It is expected that NTA will conduct the NIFT 2025 exam as an online exam tentatively in the first week of February 2025. As per the exam pattern, the NIFT 2025 exam will consist of a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). The total time duration of the General Ability Test is 2 hours while for  Creative Ability Test, it is 3 hours. Aspirants who are willing to take admission in one of the courses at NIFT have to compulsorily appear for the GAT while for a few courses like the B.Des and M.Des, students have to take the CAT. NIFT Application Form 2025

The application form for NIFT 2025 will be released in online mode by NTA on its official website. Before filling out the NIFT application form 2025, aspirants have to first register themselves for the exam and then proceed to fill the application form. How to Fill the NIFT 2025 Application Form?

  • Aspirants have to first register themselves for the NIFT exam. To register themselves applicants have to submit their Mail ID, Mobile Phone Number, Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth
  • After successfully completing the registration process candidates can proceed to fill the application form
  • While filling the NIFT 2025 application form, candidates have to submit their detailed personal information, academic qualifications and communication address
  • After filling the application form, now the students have to upload their signature and coloured passport-sized photograph (preferably with a white background) in the specified format and size
  • After completing the uploading of documents, students have to pay their application fee in the online mode 
  • Applicants after successfully paying the application fee can submit their respective application forms and take a printout of the same for future reference

NIFT 2025 Admission Process

Step 1: Fill out the NIFT 2025 Application Form 

Applicants must fill out the application form of NIFT 2025 in the online mode on the official website. The students should only fill in the relevant and genuine verifiable details in the NIFT application form. All the information furnished by the candidates will be cross-verified during the time of admission at the respective colleges.

Step 2: Download the NIFT Admit Card 2025

The admit card of NIFT 2025 will only be issued to those candidates who have submitted their application form and paid the application fee.  The students can download their respective NIFT 2025 admit card by visiting the official website and entering the basic details like their registration number, password and security pin. Candidates must note that they will not receive any hard copy of the NIFT admit card 2025 through post. 

Step 3: Appear for NIFT 2025 Exam

The students will then have to appear in the written tests CAT while GAT is a computer-based test. The written tests are conducted in paper-based mode.

Step 4: NIFT 2025 Written Test Result Declaration

The students can check the NIFT 2025 results online by visiting the portal after entering their login credentials like their registration number/application number, date of birth and security pin. The score obtained in the written tests of NIFT 2025 will be used to shortlist candidates for the next round.

Step 5: Appear for the NIFT Situation Test or GD/PI

The Situation Test is conducted for the B.Des course to test the material handling skills of the aspirants. The postgraduate students need to appear for the Group Discussion/Personal Interview round. 

Step 6: Declaration of Final NIFT Results 2025

The final results of NIFT 2025 are prepared by giving weightage to each tech component. The student must also note that the final result is used for the allocation of seats. 

Step 7: Appear for NIFT Counselling 2025

The counselling processes for NIFT will be conducted online and will have three rounds and one spot admission round. The students who have successfully cleared the NIFT 2025 exam have to get registered and participate in filling out their choice of all the participating colleges. The allotment of seats will depend upon the NIFT merit rank of the students and the choice of preference opted at the time of registration.

NIFT 2025 Preparation Strategy

Candidates are advised to follow the detailed preparation strategy as designed by the experts. 

  • Make an exclusive study plan which you can follow: Make an exclusive study plan for the final days before the NIFT exam, and prioritise the topics that need more revision. Make sure to cover all the important topics for the exam and it is recommended that you don’t leave any topic unattended. By now the NIFT exam pattern and syllabus must be at the back of your hand, so make a plan where you will be able to utilise the time wisely and score better in the NIFT exam.
  • Revise important concepts on a daily basis: Go through the important concepts from each topic of the syllabus on a daily basis. 
  • Solve previous year papers and mock tests: Solve as many NIFT previous year question papers and mock tests as possible. This will help you get familiar with the NIFT exam pattern and also help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. 
  • Focus on your weaker areas: Students are advised to identify the topics that they find difficult and focus on them
  • Time management: Manage your time effectively during the NIFT exam. Keep track of time while solving each question while solving them at home and also in the exam centre, and try to complete the exam within the given time.
  • Revise important topics: Before the NIFT 2025 exam, revise important topics and concepts that you have studied throughout your preparation phase. This will help you remember them better during the NIFT exam.

NIFT 2025 Admit Card

The National Testing Agency releases the admit card of NIFT 2025 on its official website. To download the NIFT admit card 2025 candidates have to login using their credentials – application number, date of birth and security pin. The admit card of NIFT 2025 will contain important information like the name of the candidate, father’s name, date and time of the exam, exam venue details, exam day guidelines, photograph and signature. Candidates are required to carry the admit card along with a valid ID proof on the day of the exam. 

NIFT Result 2025

The National Testing Agency will release the result of NIFT 2025 on its official website. Candidates have to login using their credentials – application number, password and security pin to check the NIFT result 2025. The authorities will consider the merit scores obtained in the written exam to select the candidates for the situation test / personal interview/ group discussion. 

NIFT 2025 Counselling

Students who have successfully cleared the NIFT 2025 exam will be eligible to take part in the counselling process of NIFT 2025. As per the previous year trends there will be a total 4 rounds of counselling and a spot round for candidates. The NIFT counselling 2025 process consists of steps like registration of the candidate, upload of documents, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting at the allotted college. The documents required for the counselling process are 2 passport size photographs and 4 stamped sized photographs, Class 10 marksheet and pass certificate, class 12 marksheet and pass certificate, graduation certificate, migration certificate etc. 

NIFT Choice Filling 2025

During the counselling process of NIFT 2025 candidates have to fill in the choices of college and courses they are willing to take. Candidates are advised that during the counselling process they should mark the maximum number of choices of college and course as per their preference during the choice filling process. The courses offered by NIFT are B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, B.Des, M.Des and M.F.M. Therefore candidates are recommended to make their selection as per their preference from the courses mentioned. 

NIFT 2025 Seat Allotment 

NIFT seat allotment 2025 result will be released by the authorities on the basis of the choices marked by the aspirants during the choice filling process. The authorities releases the seat allotment result of NIFT on the basis of the choices filled, total number of seats available in the participating colleges and cutoff. Candidates who are satisfied with the NIFT 2025 seat allotment result must pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 1,83,200 and then report at the allotted college for the admission process.
