NIFT Panchkula Admission Process 2025
The admission process at NIFT Panchkula includes the following steps:
- Fill the application form through the official website of the institute.
- Pay the application fee.
- Appear for the NIFT Entrance exam called Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT).
- Obtain a valid score in the exam.
- The shortlisted candidates are then required to appear for Situation Test and Interview.
- Merit list is prepared on the basis of the performance metrics in above rounds.
- Selected candidates are then required to verify their documents and pay the admission fee.

Test Pattern for CAT 2025:
- Test type: The CAT is a pencil-and-paper-based exam.
- Duration: 3 hours
- Skills evaluated: Intuition skill, power of observation, innovation in the development of a concept as well as design ability of the candidate. It will also test the creative as well as innovative use of color and illustration skills of aspirants.

NIFT Panchkula Selection Process 2025
For Undergraduate Programs (B.Des – Bachelor of Design)
- Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to appear for the GAT AND CAT exam.
- Situation Test: Shortlisted candidates are required to take the situation test.
- Final Merit List: Final Merit List is released based on CAT (50%), GAT (30%), and Situation Test (20%).
For Undergraduate Program (B.FTech – Bachelor of Fashion Technology)
- Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to appear for the GAT Exam.
- Final Selection: It is based on GAT performance.
For Postgraduate Programs (M.Des & MFM)
- Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to appear for the GAT AND CAT exam.
- Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI): Candidates are then required to appear for the GDPI process.
- Final Selection: It is based on overall performance in tests, GD, and PI.
