Established in 2008, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Bhopal is a premier institution dedicated to fashion education in India. NIFT Bhopal Admission Process 2025

The admission process for NIFT Bhopal in 2025 includes the following steps:

  1. Register online: Visit the official NIFT website and complete the registration form. 
  2. Take the NIFT entrance exam: The exam consists of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT). 
  3. Meet the cut-off: Candidates who pass the CAT and GAT must meet the NIFT Bhopal cut-off.
  4. Appear for GD/PI Process: Candidates who meet the cut-off are required to appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview process in order to get selected. 
  5. Pay the fees: Candidates who pass all the rounds and are selected for admission must pay the course fee. 

The written tests for the NIFT 2025 exam will be held on February 9, 2025. The final results and seat allocation will be announced in April, May, and June 2025.

NIFT Bhopal Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility criteria for admission into various courses at NIFT Bhopal is:

B.Des Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board or,A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects or,3 or 4 years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary examination /10″ standard or,Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system or,General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).
B.F.TechPassed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board or,A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Mathematics or,3 or 4 years diploma in any branch of Engineering recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after Secondary Examination /10 standard or,Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system with Mathematics.
M.DesUndergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/ University recognized by law in India or,Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID
M.F.MUndergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute/ University recognized by law in India or, Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID.
M.F.TechB.F.Tech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) or,B.E/B.Tech. from any Institute / University recognized by law in India or,B.F.Tech. (04 years) from any Institute/University recognized by law in India.

NIFT Bhopal Exam Pattern 2025

To secure an admission into NIFT Bhopal, candidates are required to appear for General Aptitude Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT).

Test Pattern for CAT 2025:

  • Test type: The CAT is a pencil-and-paper-based exam.
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Skills evaluated: Intuition skill, power of observation, innovation in the development of a concept as well as design ability of the candidate. It will also test the creative as well as innovative use of color and illustration skills of aspirants.

NIFT Bhopal Selection Process 2025

For Undergraduate Programs (B.Des – Bachelor of Design)

  1. Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to appear for the GAT AND CAT exam.
  2. Situation Test: Shortlisted candidates are required to take the situation test.
  3. Final Merit List: Final Merit List is released based on CAT (50%), GAT (30%), and Situation Test (20%).

For Undergraduate Program (B.FTech – Bachelor of Fashion Technology)

  1. Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to appear for the GAT Exam.
  2. Final Selection: It is based on GAT performance.

For Postgraduate Programs (M.Des & M.FTech & MFM)

  1. Entrance Exam: Candidates are required to appear for the GAT AND CAT exam.
  2. Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI): Candidates are then required to appear for the GDPI process.
  3. Final Selection: It is based on overall performance in tests, GD, and PI.
