National Institute of Design (NID) was established in 1961 and is recognised among India’s top design institutes for its excellence in education, research, and innovation in design. It offers programs. NID offers undergraduate (B.Des.), postgraduate (M.Des.), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs across various disciplines. The institute has campuses in states like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. The institute conducts NID DAT exam for admission in its B.Des and M.Des program.

NID DAT Exam Pattern 2025
There are two stages to the NID DAT Exam: Prelims stage and Mains stage. Candidates are required to pass both the stages in order to secure admission in the B.Des and M.Des program at NID.

Weightage for NID DAT 2025

NID DAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
- For B.Des program: Candidates must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board (CBSE, ISC, IB, State Board, etc.).
- For M.Des program: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree of at least 4 years in any discipline from a recognized university or, 3-year bachelor’s degree with one year of professional experience or, a full-time diploma in design (minimum 4 years) from NID or another recognized institute.
