MITID DAT Exam Pattern 2025
The MITID DAT exam is conducted in two phases: Design Entrance Test (DET) and Studio Test & Personal Interview. Further details of the exam are given below in the table:

- Sketching
- Logical Reasoning
- General Knowledge
- Observation Skills
For the studio test, candidates are required to carry the following things with them to the campus:
- Poster Colors, Acrylic colors, and Color pencils
- Paint brushes, palette etc.
- Fevicol and Fevikwik/ Fevibond
- Cutter
- Adhesive Tape
- Scissors
- Geometric set and other drawing material/instruments
- Permanent Markers (min. 4 colors)
- Stapler
- Candidate’s portfolio and work samples
MITID DAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
- For the B.Des programme: Candidates have to pass the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB).
- For the M.Des programme: Candidates have to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university/board.
MITID DAT Application Process 2025
The application process for the exam includes the following steps:
- Fill the online registration form.
- Register for MIT DET with your email ID and phone number on www.mitidindia.com.
- An automated verification link will be sent to your registered email ID. Activate your account by clicking the link.
- Proceed to payment option and pay ₹3000 for Indian applicants and ₹4500 for NRI, PIO, OCI & Foreign Nationals.
- Provide the required details in the application form & upload the necessary documents.
- Accept the declaration and submit the online application form.
- On scrutiny, verification and acceptance of application form, Admit cards will be generated and sent to candidates registered email id.
