FDDI Noida Admission Process: Eligibility, Exam Pattern, and Selection Process

The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) is a government-run institute in India. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India established it in 1986. The Institute with its lower fees is one of the most pursued institutes for bachelors in design. For admission FDDI Noida organises AIST. This year AIST is scheduled on 11th May 2025, the exam is used as the deciding factor for admission into the bachelor of design programme in specialisations of fashion design and product, fashion design, design in leather lifestyle and product design. FDDI Admission Process
The FDDI admission process is currently ongoing and the last date of online submission of application for AIST 2025 is 20th April 2025. For application, FDDI Noida fee payment can be done online. However, the bank and/or transaction charges on the application fee will be borne by the candidate. On the application portal follow the steps:
- New Candidate to Create Log In (New Log In)
- Already Logged candidate log in to complete the process of filling online application form (Login to your account)
- Fill Application
- Uploading image (Photograph & Signature)
- Make Payment (Rs.600/- or Rs.300/-)
- Print Application
- Download (Print) the Admit Card

FDDI Eligibility
While the minimum eligibility is to be passed from a recognised board, There may be additional requirements such as NOS candidates are required to have a minimum of five subjects for admission. Likewise, candidates whose XII grade results are pending can submit their application. However, their admission will remain provisional until they submit their results by 30 September 2025.

Provisional Admission | Candidates whose results are pending at the time of admission are eligible for provisional admission. Results must be submitted by 30th September 2025. |
Age Limit | 25 years as of 1st July 2025. |
FDDI Noida Fees
FDDI has released the fee structure for the upcoming batch of Bachelor of Design. FDDI Noida courses include the bachelor of design programme in specialisations of fashion design and product, fashion design, design in leather lifestyle and product design. FDDI Exam Pattern
Any national-level entrance exam score can be treated the same as the FDDI percentile. The marks closest to the percentile of the candidate who took the FDDI AIST will be assigned, and candidates with other exam scores may be placed just below them. The FDDI entrance exam pattern is quite similar to other popular design entrance exams. This exam has four sections that will assess candidates’ quantitative, logical and comprehensive skills.

FDDI Selection Process
The selection process is based on the seat availability for each course. The candidate should put their preference on the seat matrix they are cut off as well as their desired course so that they can pursue their design specialisation.
