Shree L. R. Tiwari Degree College of Arts, Commerce & Science in Mira Road was established on 26th June 2018. It got its permission from the Government of Maharashtra vide permission no – Shashan order No. – NGC 2018/100/18 Mashi-4 dated 15th June 2018. The College functions under the aegis of University of Mumbai with affiliation No. – Aff/ICD/2018-19/645, AISHE Code: C-60204 and the college code as 1064. The college has been named after Shri Lallan Ramadhar Tiwari, Founder-Chairman of Rahul Education, a renowned educationist and social activist who has devoted himself to empowering education at western suburbs at Mumbai city.
The college offers various traditional besides professional courses including, B.Sc. in Data Science and B.Sc. in Actuarial Science.
The college has a spacious campus with an ideal building and state-of-art infrastructure. It is notable for quality education. Previously, students of this neighborhood faced difficulties in getting admission to the colleges positioned in Mira Road. Moreover, they had to face hardships while commuting by the overcrowded trains. Many female students had to drop out of college due to a lack of higher education facilities in the locality.
By the establishment of Shree L. R. Tiwari degree college, this lacuna has been overcome. The commencement of this college in 2018-19 was the realization of a dream of selflessness. This institution aims to make young India well-educated and confident. The aim is to prepare students not only for college lessons but for life lessons too.
This is a three-year full-time degree program concentrating on application-based training. Students will be taught computer applications and software development along with data sciences and language programming as exercised in the industry to make students industry-ready and employable in this new age business ecosystem. BSc Data Science degree course will help students to understand core concepts and the latest advancements in the field of Data Science. This is a comprehensive education program focused on overall student development with a mix of classroom assignments, practical fieldwork, live industry projects, internships and shadow learning.
