As the population increases along with rising incomes, there is a growing need for skilled designers alongside civil engineers. Interior Design Admission 2026
To get into interior design courses, candidates can fill out design exam forms such as UCEED, NID DAT, etc. National-level entrance exams help both institutions and candidates by centralising one test for multiple colleges. Candidates should practice through PYQS of the entrance exams. Interior Design Courses after 12th
Some of the available courses just after Class 12th are Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Science. While a Bachelor of Design can take three to four years, a Bachelor of Science typically takes only three years. Both courses involve space planning and principles of lighting and architecture. If the candidate wishes to pursue post-graduation, a Master of Design or Master of Science in Interior Design is available for one to two years to understand design concepts and advanced materials.

As per some reports, the interior design market is expected to reach an estimated 1.87 billion dollars by 2025. There will be an increasing demand for quality interior design services, particularly in urban areas. Interior designer salaries often depend on experience. For example, an entry-level designer can expect a monthly salary between Rs 35,000 and Rs 55,000. With 3–5 years of experience, this can rise to Rs 8.4 LPA to Rs 14.16 LPA. Finally, as a senior designer with over 5 years of experience, a candidate can expect a monthly salary of Rs 2 lakh or more.
