Army Institute of Fashion and Design was established in 2004 in Bangalore and is known for its creativity and innovation in fashion education. AIFD offers undergraduate (B.Sc. in Fashion & Apparel Design) and postgraduate (M.Sc. in Fashion & Apparel Design) programs. It conducts the AIFD WAT Exam for admission into its B.Sc and M.Sc design programs.

The sections tested in the AIFD WAT Exam are:
- Intelligence and reasoning test: This section will assess how well candidates can analyse the given situations and use their logical reasoning skills.
- General awareness test: This section will measure candidates’ awareness of the events happening in the world. It will check how well-informed one is about global affairs.
- English language and comprehension test: This section will test candidates’ knowledge of the English language fundamentals.
AIFD WAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Candidates must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
- They must have passed with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks.
- Children of Army personnel (serving or retired) with a minimum of 10 years of service in the Army are eligible.
- Adopted/step children must have been adopted before the age of 5 years and meet the required Army service criteria.
- Candidates must be below 25 years as of June 1 of the admission year.
