Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery Jaipur Admission Process 2025
The admission process at the institute involves the following steps:
- Fill the application form through the official website of the institute.
- Pay the application form fee.
- Appear for the IIGJ Entrance Exam called General Ability Test (GAT) and Design Ability Test (DAT).
- Shortlisted candidates are then required to appear for the Personal Interview process.
- Selected candidates are then required to verify their documents and pay the admission fee.

Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery Jaipur Exam Pattern 2025
IIGJ accepts GAT and DAT for admission into its various programs.
- General Ability Test (GAT) – GAT is conducted to examine an applicant’s general reasoning ability, learning capacity, observational skills and problem solving ability.
- Design Ability Test (DAT) – DAT examines the candidate’s visual ability, creative thinking and logical reasoning.
- Design Ability Test and General Ability Test – consists of 50 questions from five sections which are Logo Identification (Part-A) Picture Analogies (Part-B) in Design Ability, and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation (Part-A) General Knowledge (Part-B) and True/False (Part-C) of 2 marks each.
The exam is conducted in online mode for 1 hour 15 minutes.

The selection process at the institute involves the following steps:
- Candidates are required to take the GAT and DAT Exam.
