Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology has grown to become India’s top fashion school since it opened in 1996. The institute’s main goal is to help students get job-ready by giving them training that is specific to their field. It focuses on design, management, and technology and has classes from the entry-level to the graduate level.

The new, cutting-edge site is in the Apparel Park, which is a major project of the Karnataka Government and is surrounded by more than 75 clothing and textile companies. Modern design labs for sewing, pattern making, textiles, and jewelry can be found on campus. There is also a library, a study center, and smart classes. Students also gain from getting hands-on experience in the field and being guaranteed jobs. In this article, we are going to discuss the admission process for design courses, eligibility, the selection process, and other related information that is necessary to get admission to the Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology.

Admission process

  1. Fill Out the Online Application – Complete the form and pay the application fee online.
  2. Aptitude test – On a scheduled date, a test link will be sent to your email. The test comprises questions on logical reasoning, English, design skills, and general knowledge.
  3. Eligibility criteria – Candidates must score at least 50 percent in the Aptitude Test, as well as in their respective board examinations, to be eligible.
  4. Selection & fee payment – An admission letter will be sent to the selected candidates via email, along with payment details.
  5. Seat allotment – This follows a first-come, first-serve basis.
  6. Provisional admission – To secure provisional admission, provide the required documents. 
  7. Session Start Notification – You will be informed via email about the commencement of the academic session.

Selection Process

Fill out the application form and send it along with your resume and personal statement. If you are qualified, you will be asked to come in for an online interview where your skills, knowledge, and experience will be tested. To start the course, you must also be at least 18 years old and be able to speak and write English well.

You will get an email with an Aptitude Test link on the day of the test. The test will include questions on rational thinking, English, design skills, and general knowledge. To qualify, you must score at least 50% on both the Aptitude Test and your school tests.

If chosen, you will receive an admission letter and payment information via email.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to VIAD

VIAD offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Admission is based on academic qualifications and performance in the Aptitude Test.

Eligibility for Bachelor’s Programs

  • Must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent exam (AISSCE, IB, ICSE, State Board, etc.) in a relevant stream.
  • Admission is based on qualifying exam marks and Aptitude Test performance.

Eligibility for Master’s Programs

  • Must have completed a 3 or 4-year bachelor’s degree in any stream.
  • Students awaiting final results (expected by October 31st) can also apply.
  • Admission is based on Aptitude Test performance.

Aptitude Test Pattern

The Design Aptitude Test is used for admission to programs like Interior Design, Fashion Design, Animation & Game Art. It evaluates the IQ level, logical reasoning, and lateral thinking of candidates.
