Eligibility for Chitkara University Admission

1. B.Des (Bachelor of Design):

• Candidates should finish their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
• A minimum of 50% marks must be attained by a candidate in the qualifying exam (this might vary based on your category).
• You have to clear an entrance exam like UCEED or SAT, as stated by the particular program.

2. M.Des (Master of Design):

• You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Design or related fields from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 50% marks must be attained in an undergraduate degree (this could vary depending on category).

Admission Process 2025:

To apply for Chitkara University, one must submit the application form by the last date. The process begins with the evaluation of eligibility, after which entrance exams, counseling, written tests, or interviews are conducted based on the program chosen.

Counseling Process

Counseling assists in the selection of an appropriate program based on the student’s aptitude and aspirations. Applicants attend the session for counseling in person on the scheduled date and time with all the necessary documents. The applicant will be disqualified for any absence from the session.

Steps to fill admission form:

Chitkara University has a simple application process for the year 2025, with an option of either online application or application through the offline mode. The cost of the application is Rs 1,100. There are three ways to apply, and this is how each of the options works:

Option 1:

You can obtain the application form from any information center opened by Chitkara University. The official website names such centers. Attach a passport-size photo, fill out the application form with the required information, and then mail it by postal address together with a photocopy of your mark sheets.

Option 2:

For offline submission, you may also download the application form and brochure from the website. The printed form should be sent by post together with a photocopy of the mark sheets described above once printed, filled out, dated, and signed.

Exam Pattern

Selection Process of Chitkara University:

1. Entrance Test: 

• Chitkara University Design Aptitude Test (CUDAT) is carried out to decide admission to the design courses.
• The candidates may also use UCEED scores to gain admission for the B.Des course.

2. Selection Process:

• Allocation of seats in the design courses will be on merit ranking determined by the singular entrance exam result.
• Other preferences mentioned in the counseling form will also be taken into account during the selection process.
