Indus University Design Entrance Exam

Admission to the BDes program is entrance-based, requiring candidates to qualify for the Indus Design Aptitude Test (IDAT), followed by a Personal Interview (PI).

The examination process for admission includes two key components:

  1. Stage 1: Aptitude Test The design test will consist of two parts. Part a: Objective-type questions, which will assess your logical skills and aptitude for design. Part b: Drawing test, which will assess your creative skills and hand skills.
  2. Stage 2: Personal Interview At the personal interview round, you will be tested for design knowledge, communication skills, awareness, and interpretations, along with a review of your portfolio which you are required to bring along with you.

Additionally, Portfolio Evaluation plays an important role in the final selection process. Candidates are required to submit a portfolio showcasing their previous work, which is assessed for creativity, innovation, and design sensibility.

Application Process for Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Programme

  1. Fill out the online application form available on the website.
  2. Upload a passport-size photograph (max size 2MB).
  3. Upload your portfolio in PDF format (max size 20MB).
  4. Complete the payment requirement of Rs. 2000.
