CUET, also known as the Central University Entrance Test, is a national-level exam organized for admitting students to undergraduate programs in central universities. Almost all central universities participate in CUET, making it a unified medium for admission to various colleges across India. Previously known as CUCET, it was officially rebranded as CUET in 2022, coinciding with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the formation of the first batch under this policy.
Exam Pattern
Under CUET, there are MCQ-based questions conducted in a CBT (Computer-Based Test) format. The exam is divided into three sections, and the best scores are considered, although this may vary depending on the university’s norms. There is negative marking, with minus one (-1) deducted for each incorrect answer, while 5 marks are awarded for each correct answer.
